So, as you all know - I went to see Diana Ross in concert with brighter_days. It was amazing.

I haven't taken very many photos since I've been here but mainly because, I was really saving ALL my space for June 6th. I kid you not. I have videos as well and they came out so fantastic that I don't even know what to do with myself.

So basically, queen_schitzo deserves all the credit for this lovely event. Without her help, I wouldn't have even managed to find a way up to St. Louis, let alone go to the concert. So, this is me saying thank you again and again, over and over.

Thank you.

This post is, proudly, image heavy and I hope you stick around and look through them all. I altered the photos because the captures are seriously just THAT GOOD and this post is going to be public and I didn't want people going in here and taking images that we took with my own camera and claim it for their own. There were so many of them that I only uploaded about half of them.

i love you more today than yesterdayCollapse )

You know, you come and go when you're a fan of someone. Sometimes I'll listen to her non-stop and sometimes I won't listen to her at all. But I'll always be a fan.

But after the concert Sunday night, I'm quite sure I love her more than yesterday.

Definitely not as much as tomorrow, though. :-)

And just to do a little horn tooting, I uploaded a video of the recording we have of her singing You Are Not Alone and you can hear how amazing her voice sounds.

Loved it!

My favorite moments from the concert (there were too many so I'll do a short list) would have to be:

+ being in the same room as Miss Ross THE BOSS
+ her opening with The Boss
+ her singing Ease On Down
+ the Mirror, Mirror instrumental
+ the MJ moments
+ the MJ/DR moments (so endearing, really)
+ when she pulled the little girl on stage
+ our friend behind us drinking his vodka and CRAAAAAANberry
+ whenever she would mess up her lyrics or forget a lyric and give a little 'oops' and giggle
+ the costume changes and costumes in general

I'm quite sure I'll have more to say but my brain is fried and I'm honestly still trying to take it in that Diana actually mimicked my dancing and flailed back at me. You really can't understand how amazing I feel after that.

Her tour is getting some pretty good reviews and I hear that she may extend it. I enjoyed it so much that if she came to Texas I would shell out money to see her again. I'd even push out more to get in the orchestra pit so she can touch my hand, lol.

I've been to quite a few concerts but this is hands down my absolute favorite and I really don't expect anything to top it.

...unless of course, I can get David Bowie in Dallas, lol.

Yay, I think this one is probably my favorite question so

Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching

I am made of strong stuff!Collapse )

No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency fans rise up!

Hmm, I'm actually doing this properly. I would have given up by now. LOL Next one is favorite new show. I'm a sucker for good introductions, let me just say that. And there's a L O S T meme as well and since I have some L O S T fans on my f!list I don't see the problem with me doing one.

So, as I stated previously:

It was a beautiful ending. I think when it comes down to it, with the fans that aren't fond of the ending, they don't truly understand what it meant. So before, I even talk about how I felt myself and basically "review" it, I think it would be nice to explain it what it all meant (in my opinion).

it"s okay to let go nowCollapse )

spoiler alert: SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORECollapse )

I know there are people that don't particularly care for the show and that's all well and good because you mostly don't understand but to refuse the impact this show had on pop culture is just ridiculous. God knows there are loads of things I don't particularly find myself crazy about it or might even disgust a little bit (Hello, Twilight) but I acknowledge their presence in modern society and the impact it has on a lot of people. Although, the idea of women wanting the relationship Bella and Cedric Diggory have in the series still frightens me.

All in all, I am very happy to have watched this show from beginning to end. It proved to not be a disappointment and I will miss having something to look forward to on week nights, lmao.

There will never be another show like it.

Even the president loves it.

Judging from my lack of talking about it in my livejournal, with the exception of the one review of one of my favorites season, you would never know that LOST is my favorite show.

Well, it is without a doubt the only show I've loved like I love my mother.

I'm really going to miss getting new episodes.

So, I have compiled a homage to LOST with .gifs of how I feel about my favorite show and saying goodbye.

Goodbye, LOST.

Review of course, sometime in the week after the finale.

So, nesquik9 asked some interesting questions and while I played around a bit, I thought I'd be serious (as I can be) with my answers. It was very ~thought provoking. You should all do it and let me read it. You can find the questionnaire here.

you might as well face it you"re addicted to loveCollapse )

And yet, this was still done in jest with some of my answers. Oh well, haha. You get my drift.
